Ring Mandrel 4

Here is the "business end" of the assembly, showing how the drum is attached: the mandrel has been hammered flat, and the drum then hammered lightly down onto the flattened region at the tip, which binds tightly and holds the drum in place. This crude method of attachment is actually very effective. The drum is firmly affixed and will not spin or slide.
