Although I had a very hard time getting this marble in focus, and this is a lousy shot (sorry!) you can see the raking scars here and how crude they look. This marble has a planetary appearance. The camera is not showing you the way this glass smokes at the equator.. it discolours almost down to gray from its natural sky blue.
