The other pole is not a pretty sight. It has a smoke mark and boil rash. I'm suspecting that this may be the pole where the final glass punty was broken off and then melted in. I had great trouble with the gray and violet moretti as final punties; they just wanted to leave blebs behind. My messing about trying to pull the bleb off, then overcooking the spot to try to melt it in, may account for the scarring.
